We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Operative to join our friendly and supportive team at Synergy Plus Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining an efficient, safe, and organized yard while contributing to the overall operations of the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring risks are minimized and reporting any concerns to management.
- Perform regular service, inspection, and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in preparing equipment for jobs and selecting items according to load lists, ensuring accurate and efficient loading and unloading.
- Work closely with operations personnel to monitor stock levels, ensure stock is ready for dispatch, and participate in annual stock checks.
- Ensure equipment labelling procedures are followed and accurately report load lists, items not returned from the site, and stock shortages.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, reporting any accidents promptly and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Previous experience in a yard or operations support role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A commitment to health and safety regulations.
