Environmental Permitting Team Leader

Pell Frischmann is a specialist advisory and technical consultancy operating across the built and natural environment. We offer consultancy services with access to specialist sister companies and partners to support public and private-sector clients.



About the Role

We are looking for a professional to lead our Environmental Permitting Team with experience in environmental permitting and consultancy. As part of our team based out of Exeter, you will work with sector specialists and prepare environmental permits across different sectors in the UK.



Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing Environmental Permit applications for activities and discharges to water, land and air
  • Advising on and auditing Environmental Management Systems
  • Undertaking Environmental audits
  • Leading technical and other work while ensuring high levels of quality and environmental responsibility
  • Line management and mentoring of individuals within the team
  • Assisting with the promotion of the company's capabilities to current and prospective clients


Requirements

  • Environmental Science degree or similar
  • Member of relevant environmental professional body
  • Min 10 years' relevant experience including work for an environmental consultancy
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the environmental permitting regime and management of permit applications
  • Experience of working for UK environmental regulators (eg EA, NIEA, NRW or SEPA)
  • Full UK driver's licence
  • A collaborative nature with strong relationships with other teams within the business
  • Excellent commercial understanding of environmental consultancy
