Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven Export Sales and Distributor Manager to join our Sales and Marketing team in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will work closely with a long-established network of overseas distributors, providing engineering and scientific training and ongoing support.

You will identify, develop, and negotiate new business opportunities, bringing new distributors onboard and take responsibility for the negotiations of high value deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and manage high-value export sales contracts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international distributors.
  • Provide technical and scientific training to distributors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in export sales/distribution management.
  • Able to negotiate high-value contracts.
  • Relevant technical and scientific knowledge (electronic engineering, environmental instrumentation/plant science etc).
  • Knowledge of environmental, plant science, agricultural and horticultural markets beneficial.
  • Educated to degree level in engineering or applied science advantageous.
  • A consultative selling approach.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Highly driven and self-motivated with a focus on success.
  • Effective communication skills with international stakeholders.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £65,000 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday, 40-hours per week.
  • Annual leave entitlement of 33 days including bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
  • Group Personal Pension scheme with employer contributions of 7%, increasing with length of service.
  • Life assurance 4 x salary.
