About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Energy Engineer to join our client's Facilities and Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of energy and utility generation and use across two manufacturing sites to enable the development and successful implementation of an industry-led Net Zero 2030 Carbon Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of buildings, building services, CO2 reduction, and site maintenance resources, ensuring compliance with all applicable UK legislation.
  • Submission of budgets to ensure that all buildings and equipment are effectively maintained to manufacturers' and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommendation and management of budgets for new or improvements to existing buildings, building services, utilities, CO2 reduction, grounds, and site infrastructure.
  • Management of building, energy reduction, and site services projects, ensuring timely completion and budget targets.
  • Supervision of sub-contractors and negotiation of annual contracts with purchasing.
  • Supporting the Engineering division as required, acting as CDM planning supervisor, and providing, maintaining, and controlling building, building services, or grounds and infrastructure drawings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive proven ability in a similar role, substantial experience of energy management, electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural engineering, and previous experience of maintenance management and project engineering.

They must also have a demonstrable understanding of compliance regimes relating to buildings, utilities, energy, and site, and hold a degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline and NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in management.

Specialist expert knowledge and qualifications in energy and facilities management are preferred.
