Financial Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a Financial Compliance Specialist to join our team at FS Talent Group. This role involves conducting thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and maintaining compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
In this position, you will work within a dynamic and fast-paced financial services company that prioritizes robust compliance practices and customer onboarding standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of AML regulations, KYC processes, and customer due diligence requirements. You will be responsible for performing customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks for both retail and business accounts.
Additionally, you will review, verify, and validate customer identification documents and information in line with AML and KYC regulations. You will also investigate and resolve discrepancies or red flags during the onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough KYC checks and maintaining compliance with AML regulations.
- Performing customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks.
- Reviewing, verifying, and validating customer identification documents and information.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies or red flags during the onboarding process.
- Maintaining accurate records of all compliance activities to support audits and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborating with internal teams to address compliance-related queries and provide advice on KYC requirements.
The estimated salary for this role is £105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a compliance or KYC role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, KYC processes, and customer due diligence requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify risks and discrepancies in customer information.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
