Blood Collection Specialist

As a key member of the Care New England Health System team, the Blood Collection Specialist will be responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties in conjunction with reference laboratories to ensure efficient operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the performance of all forms of phlebotomy procedures, requiring phlebotomy certification and up to date competency.
Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely sample handling procedures.
Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) to manage and track laboratory results.
Develop strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Associate's degree in biological science or related field required; Or high school diploma and additional phlebotomy certification or training in clinical laboratory science or medical technology required.
Familiarity with laboratory terminology and sample handling procedures required.
