About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Weighbridge Operator to join our team at XPO. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility, acting as the first and last point of contact for all staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate weighing and recording of all vehicles, with no variances outside the tolerance.
- Comply with all legislative requirements, company policies, and customer-specific requirements.
- Induct all personnel entering site using the rapid induct system.
- Verify authorized vehicles and personnel entering the site, and log all vehicles entering and exiting.
- Issue site rules to drivers and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
- Dispatch shipments on SAP and maintain confidentiality of company business.
- Act professionally, maintain good working relationships, and promote a positive image of XPO.
- Challenge and determine reasons for presence on site of unauthorized personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a logistics environment preferred, but not essential (full training will be provided).
- Health & Safety Awareness.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative.
- Customer-focused and approachable.
