Telecoms Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Civil Gang Team Member to join our team in Horsham, West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing excavations, repairs and reinstatement of telecom infrastructure within the public highway and streets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out manual excavations-reinstatement as per industry standard within the BT Openreach Duct Network or other utility service providers.
• Lay-Jointing of various type/size of Telecom Ducts including Micro Duct.
• Capable to perform Duct testing & roping for cable pulling.
• Locate and repair/clear telecom underground duct blockage in any surface.
• Ability to produce, update and interpret records of daily work logs, data recordings and network design maps.
• Experience of risk assessment and hazard identification.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies at work site.
• Experience in a similar operational or engineering environment within the telecommunications industry.
• Possess a current NRSWA Streetworks Card (Level 6 and Level 7), CSCS/ECS Card, Confined Space Training.
• NRSWA certificate, Units for Excavation, Reinstatement.
• A digger license is desirable CPCS/NPORS.
• Clean UK driving Licence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with a strong background in civil gang operations, telecoms infrastructure maintenance and safety protocols. A clean UK driving licence and relevant qualifications are essential.
