SLR's Land & Water team is seeking a highly skilled Geochemist Principal to contribute to project execution, delivery, and business development activities. As a key member of the team, you will apply your expertise in geochemical modeling, water quality analysis, and project management to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead geochemical modeling and water quality analysis projects, applying expertise in bespoke software and water quality modeling tools.
- Develop and implement project management strategies, ensuring timely delivery and financial management.
- Collaborate with the Mine Water and Mine Waste Engineering team on international mining projects and with the Waste Management and Land Quality teams on UK and EU projects.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
- Contribute to business development activities, identifying new opportunities and developing proposals.
- Relevant first degree and postgraduate geochemical or related qualification.
- Chartered status through a UK recognized organization or equivalent overseas organization.
- Working towards or registered as Qualified Person (Claire Code of Practice), Suitably Qualified Person (NQMS), or Specialist in Land Condition (SiLC).
- Proven experience in the consulting environment, with expertise in geochemistry and/or hydrochemistry.
- Full current driving license valid in the UK.
