Electrical Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Halifax site. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous running of our plant by eliminating downtime through safe and logical approaches to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site. This will include ensuring the continuous operation of our stone processing machines, which vary in size and can present challenging tasks. You will work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of Electrical Maintenance & Engineering with some Mechanical Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Time served or apprentice training, ideally in a similar position with appropriate Electrical Qualifications such as City & Guilds Electrical Engineering & 18th Edition, is highly desirable.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
  • Practical hands-on approach and happy working in a dirty environment
  • Significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations

We offer a competitive salary of £44,678 plus benefits and overtime opportunities. Our set shift patterns ensure no 12-hour shifts, and you will enjoy 34 days per annum or equivalent hours (inclusive of bank holidays).
