About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Technician to join our team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. As a Critical Care Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the technical safety of medical equipment used within the Critical Care Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and set up bed spaces for patient admissions to the Critical Care Unit
  • Maintain and clean equipment within the Critical Care Unit, ensuring compliance with Unit/Trust policies and protocols
  • Ensure essential equipment is available and in a safe and working order
  • Liaise with Medical Engineering Department to ensure mechanical ventilators are always available for use
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations

Person Specification

  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade C and above or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to understand the importance of patient confidentiality
  • Ability to understand the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
