Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion
  • Draft legal documents, including standard precedent letters, contract packs, and exchange letters
  • Communicate with clients and third parties, including taking instructions and providing updates
  • Work from reports to chase files and ensure compliance
  • Apply for searches, complete SDLT forms, and check incoming faxes
  • Provide support to conveyancers and property lawyers due to holiday or sickness
  • Deal with tasks assigned to you and refer complex tasks back to the conveyancer for risk assessment/resolution
Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C
  • A level or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C
  • Relevant experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, well-spoken and personable
  • Friendly and approachable

Working Hours

Core hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch break. The office is open between 8:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday, and 10:00am to 3:30pm on Sunday. You will be required to work 5 days and no more than 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.

You will be notified in advance of your working hours and any changes to the rota. Up to 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays are included in your annual leave entitlement.
