Job Title: Maintenance Surveyor - Asset Management Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join our team at Reed Property & Construction. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Asset Management Programme, ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Asset Management: Lead the Asset Management Programme, ensuring the effective management of our properties, and making recommendations for improvements.
  2. Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance operations, ensuring that all properties are well-maintained and meet the required standards.
  3. Stock Condition Surveys: Conduct regular stock condition surveys to identify areas for improvement and ensure that our properties are well-maintained.
  4. Capital Works Projects: Manage and lead Capital Works projects, including refurbishments of internal and external domestic properties, and ensure that all works are completed to the highest standards.
  5. Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislative practice, ensuring compliance with regard to risk assessment, fire safety, gas safety, electrical safety, asbestos, Legionella, etc.
  6. Maintenance Administration: Manage and administer the maintenance administration, including dealing with day-to-day maintenance issues, undertaking routine inspections, and liaising with tenants and contractors.
  7. Emergency Service: Manage and participate in the Maintenance emergency service, providing a first point of call for out-of-hours emergencies.
  8. Budget Management: Liaise with Senior Management to plan, manage, and monitor the Asset Management and Maintenance budget.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Proven experience in property management and maintenance, with a strong understanding of current health and safety and housing legislation.
  2. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  3. Knowledge: Knowledge of the local area and a full UK driving license.
