HGV Technician Job Description

Our client, a well-established haulage operator, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial vehicles.

Daily Duties:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking
  • Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection
  • Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertaken in a timely manner
  • Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy

Working Hours and Rates:
This HGV Technician role is available on rotating Early / Late shift with a basic hourly rate of £19.22, giving a basic annual salary of £49,205. With the basic salary, overtime, and annual bonus, you can expect to earn in excess of £55,000 - £60,000 per year.

Requirements:
  • Completed an HGV Technician apprenticeship
  • Your own tools
  • Full UK driving license
  • Class 1 license would be beneficial but isn't essential for this role as driver training can be provided
