Examiner - GCE A Level Biology Marking Specialist

At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biology Examiner to join our team. As a GCE A Level Biology Examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures.

The marking process will be carried out onscreen using ePEN, which can be done from home. However, a few subjects may still require traditional marking methods using paper scripts sent through the post.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of subject knowledge in Biology and be able to apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently. You will also be required to submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times and ensure that milestones for marking are adhered to.

We are looking for individuals who have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, a degree or equivalent, and are qualified teachers. You will also need to have the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and have a high level of subject knowledge.
