Andover, Hampshire, United Kingdom Sparsholt Full time

At Sparsholt, we are committed to providing an outstanding experience for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Senior Learning Support Assistant role is a vital part of this commitment, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential.

As a Senior Learning Support Assistant, you will provide both academic and emotional support to students, enabling them to flourish in a stimulating environment.

Your daily tasks may include supporting students in class, working one-on-one with individuals, or collaborating with colleagues to develop tailored learning plans.

With a caseload of key students, you will take responsibility for ensuring they meet course requirements and prepare for adulthood.

This involves liaising with parents and carers, reviewing EHCPs, and working with our SEN officers to ensure timely reviews and progress towards targets.

We offer flexible working patterns, from 3 to 5 days per week, during term time or full year. Please indicate your preferred working pattern and campus in your application.

To succeed in this role, you will need a 'can-do' attitude, excellent communication skills, and a good standard of education, including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above. A willingness to undertake further training is essential.

**£23,379 - £24,816 per annum**, depending on the number of hours worked, plus a £2,000 Recruitment Attraction Payment, pro-rata if part-time. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including eligibility to join a defined contribution pension scheme, free on-site parking, and access to discounted hair treatments.

Working with us offers opportunities for career progression, either into specialist support roles or as the first steps towards becoming a teacher. The college provides excellent training opportunities and can help support with teacher training, which is provided onsite.

With its beautiful rural setting and excellent career prospects, Sparsholt is an ideal place to start or continue your career as a Senior Learning Support Assistant.
