Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Planner to join our team in Plymouth. As a Senior Planning Executive, you will be accountable for ensuring that projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. You will work closely with the project management function to deliver projects on time and profitably.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead the planning function on allocated projects/tenders, ensuring exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
  2. Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.
  3. Manage a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and responsible for team/individual development.
  4. Support senior management in negotiations, contract development, and other business development, ensuring due diligence is applied.
  5. Undertake tasks required to fulfill the requirements of the project/assignment.
Requirements
  1. Excellent written communication skills, clear and concise.
  2. In-depth knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
  3. Stays up to date with current key industry/professional trends.
  4. Multi-industry construction experience.
  5. Delivers service excellence.
  6. Problem-solving.
  7. Strong management skills and talent development.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Degree educated, preferably in a construction/engineering discipline (or equivalent).
  2. Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  3. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  4. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Additional Information

This role requires site travel of 2-3 days per week in Plymouth. Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates. We are open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options if suitable within the role.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
