Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Real Estate Litigation Partner to join our Tier 1 Real Estate Litigation Team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will lead on complex tenant and landlord disputes in the retail sector, working closely with our clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client meetings and develop strong relationships with senior members of client property teams
  • Attend and lead at regular update meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Accept instructions from partners in other offices and departments, ensuring work is undertaken promptly and to a high quality
  • Jointly responsible for team achieving team budgets and gross margins
  • Meet personal contribution towards team budget
  • Introduce work of appropriate quality into team and the firm generally, demonstrating ability to generate repeat work from clients
  • Collaborate with partners and fee earners in other teams to promote and generate work for the Real Estate Litigation team and support the overall firm strategy of growth
  • Support the development of junior fee earners in the team, mentoring and ensuring appropriate career development plans are in place

Requirements

  • Clear and demonstrable experience in the retail L&T sector, acting for multi-occupiers
  • Clear and demonstrable experience of handling complex property litigation matters to trial both as supervising partner/director and case handler
  • Ability to lead client meetings and delegate work to junior fee earners
  • Excellent Business Development and Marketing skills
  • A successful record at a similarly well-regarded firm to Hill Dickinson, with a strong following and ability to maintain and grow their client base
