Cryptography Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Cryptography Analyst to play a critical role in fortifying our cryptography infrastructure. As part of our team, you will support the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of robust PKI & HSM solutions to ensure encryption, authentication, and digital signing processes across Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and manage digital certificates for cryptographic assets, ensuring compliance with risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology requirements.
  • Manage and monitor the bank's cryptographic assets for all use cases, data, through BAU support and On-Call support as part of a 24/7 global execution.
  • Execute security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in cryptographic implementations and procedures, guiding the implementation of mitigation strategies and communicating findings to relevant senior stakeholders.
  • Implement and monitor cryptographic solutions used in various banking applications to ensure they function correctly and meet the Cryptography Standard.
  • Develop training content for colleagues to share expertise on cryptographic concepts, best practices, and security procedures in line with Standards and Industry regulations.
Requirements:
  • A thorough understanding of industry cryptographic principles, including algorithms, protocols, and technologies such as symmetric and asymmetric keys, digital signatures, key exchange, and encryption.
  • An ability to advocate for the improvement and implementation of security controls when appropriate.
  • Experience in escalating breaches of policies and procedures, embedding new policies and procedures adopted due to risk mitigation, and managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function and build a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organisation.

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
