Job PurposeThis role will play a critical part in our organisation's operations by optimising and utilising each vehicle's daily deliveries and collections ensuring all meet customers' expectations. The successful candidate will support the Transport & Operations Teams by planning and managing daily deliveries to end users in the most efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage daily deliveries to end users using transport planning software.
- Coordinate and utilise subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery operations.
- Manage and plan emergency orders to meet customer demands.
- Liaise with Customer Services and Account management teams for service-related queries.
- Respond promptly to route feedback and ensure improvement opportunities are acted upon.
- Ensure all key vehicle information is kept up to date on the system relating to delivery points.
- Provide monthly KPI reports to track delivery performance.
- Address on day scheduling and delivery problems and proactively work with other departments to rectify them.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Previous experience of working within a transport planning department is essential.
- Highly organised with proven ability to plan and prioritise workload and work calmly and methodically in a busy environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, with a strong attention to detail.
- Results driven and passionate about improving delivery performance.
- Salary up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience.
