Our Team

At our Wisbech site, we have a team of 450 colleagues who manufacture premium chilled ready-to-cook meals for major retailers like Asda and Co-op. We're looking for a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team and work alongside our maintenance engineers on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake upkeep and repair tasks to the interior and exterior of company premises, including all incoming and outgoing services and associated plant room equipment.
  • Assist with daily/weekly checks and maintenance on all plant room equipment, including water/steam boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, and fire alarms.
  • Provision and implementation of solutions in line with the site engineering strategy to reduce downtime.
  • Use root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance.
  • Involvement in engineering projects from inception to delivery as and when required.
Requirements
  • An apprentice-trained engineer with a formal engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (Electrical), or HNC Engineering.
  • Previous maintenance experience gained preferably within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer within industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop as there is considerable opportunity for development within our large engineering function.
