About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Employment Support Specialist to join our Supported Employment Team at Discovery. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism in finding and maintaining paid employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with employers and customers to identify job coaching and longer-term strategies to ensure sustained employment.
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand each individual's interests, preferences, abilities, and support needs, and facilitate and coordinate the person-centred employment planning process.
- Manage a caseload of clients, allocated by the Supported Employment Manager, and provide timely reviews and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful employment outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and Autism, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
