Key Responsibilities:- Welding Expertise: Utilize strong background in MiG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques to produce high-quality welds with strong structural integrity.
- Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Skilled in reading and interpreting detailed architectural and structural drawings, including understanding welding symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Steel Fabrication: Experienced in steel fabrication, handling and manipulating steel components, cutting and shaping steel, and assembling structural elements according to specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Strong commitment to safety practices and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, following all necessary safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe welding procedures.
- Quality Control: Attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest quality, inspecting and verifying the accuracy and quality of welds and ensuring they meet required standards and specifications.
- Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project, as well as working closely with other fabricators and welders.
- Relevant certifications, such as a welding certification from a recognized authority or an apprenticeship completion certificate, can greatly enhance qualifications and credibility.
The estimated salary for this role is between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
