Taxation Specialist

Castle Employment is currently seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join their team in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all tax activities, including tax planning, compliance, and preparation of business and personal tax returns.

The role offers an attractive salary of up to £47,000, flexible working hours, private healthcare, and a generous holiday allowance of 32 days (plus bank holidays). This position can be considered on a full or part-time basis.

The Taxation Specialist will report into the partners and be responsible for:

1. Managing the tax team and developing the department
2. Managing and growing a portfolio of clients
3. Attracting new clients and contributing to the firm's success
4. Working alongside Client Managers and Directors to identify opportunities
5. Providing advice and tax updates, as well as training
6. Developing strong relationships with each client and their business to add value with tax expertise

To be successful in this role, you must:

1. Hold ICAEW/CTA/ATT qualifications
2. Be confident advising clients on tax matters
3. Have a proven record as a team leader and enjoy managing and developing a team
4. Have experience working in Tax in an Accountancy Practice setting
