Electrical Lead Installation Operative

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Installation Operative to join our team in the Midlands. As a key member of our field-based team, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining a wide range of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of traffic signal assets, including controllers and ancillary equipment, unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Complete electrical tests and pre-commissioning activities
  • Manage installation teams and sub-contractors on-site
  • Liaise with customers and other contractors
  • Ensure works are completed to site specification, in a timely manner, and to a sufficient quality level
  • Undertake site inductions and out-of-hours working to support service and installation contract requirements
  • Successful completion of mandatory NHSS training requirements

Requirements:

  • Industry experience and/or strong electrical and product installation experience
  • HNC / ONC / City and Guilds or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or similar
  • Co-operative, helpful, and willing to use initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks, staff, and organise materials, employees, and sub-contractors
  • Accurate, reliable, and enjoy getting things right first time
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work well with others, and promote good team morale
  • Confident working with IT equipment, including a tablet and laptop, and able to learn new software
  • Full UK Driving License and company vehicle and tools provided
