About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Yard Operative to join our team at Jewson. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Welcome and engage with customers, taking an active interest in their projects and providing expert advice and guidance.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of our product lines and services to offer tailored solutions and recommendations.
  • Logistics and Operations
    • Assist with the preparation and loading of customer and supplier vehicles, minimizing manual handling and ensuring efficient stock management.
    • Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate records to ensure stock levels are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Health and Safety
    • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and procedures, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and colleagues.
    • Identify and report any potential hazards or risks, contributing to a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive success.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
