Ward/Department Activity and Housekeeping Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to coordinate all facilities services in collaboration with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients.
This role will directly support the provision of high-quality patient care through personal actions and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating facilities services to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Collaborating with the MDT to identify and address patient needs
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction
- Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Identifying and addressing potential risks and hazards to patient safety

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- A knowledge and willingness to develop basic skills and competencies relevant to the role
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Able to relate to all grades of staff and take directions from superiors
- Ability to cope with occasional exposure to aggressive behavior
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a good standard of general education, including GCSEs.
Desirable Qualifications
Training relevant to therapeutic activity-related courses and a food hygiene certificate are desirable.
Experience
Experience working with people with mental health problems and experience in Occupational Therapy are desirable.
Contractual Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to work full-time hours, with flexibility to meet patient needs and requirements.
