We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Support Assistant to join our secondary schools in Romford. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with speech, language, and communication needs in a 1:1 and group setting.
  • Work closely with teachers and the school's Speech and Language Therapist to implement tailored interventions.
  • Help develop students' speech and language abilities, including phonics, articulation, and vocabulary.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment to help students thrive.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SEN team and classroom teachers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a school setting, supporting students with speech and language needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from professionals.
