We are seeking a skilled Trainee Field Engineer to join our team at https://www.energyjobline.com/sitemap. As a Trainee Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining automatic meter instrumentation on gas meters for commercial and industrial customers.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn quickly during training. You will be working remotely with office support staff, following a planned schedule to visit approximately 5-7 customers per day. Self-management of workload is essential, as well as the ability to lift, carry, and move equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Installation and configuration of hand-held electronic data collection, logging, and recording equipment
  2. Fixing equipment to walls, including wiring
  3. Using handheld tools, including drills and gas monitors
  4. Working in confined spaces, if necessary

Requirements

  1. Full driving licence for manual gears is essential
  2. No prior experience is necessary, as all training will be provided for the role
  3. Previous electrical or mechanical experience of any nature is an advantage
  4. Previous experience as a field engineer is useful
  5. Relevant academic qualifications, such as BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical, are an advantage

  1. A starting salary of £24,000pa, with increases every 6 months during training, quickly rising to £28,000pa
  2. Salaries will then continue to rise based on progression and performance
