The estimated salary for this role is around £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
Job Description
This Operational Theatre Care Specialist will work alongside healthcare professionals in ensuring patient safety during their journey through the operating theatre. The successful candidate will gain a BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and be eligible for HCPC registration.
The role involves working in a dynamic team environment, covering the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to care for patients during the perioperative journey. This includes anaesthesia, surgery, and post-anaesthesia care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in a health-related subject or equivalent
- Prior experience in an acute hospital environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrated caring manner with an understanding of Equality and Diversity
