Ambitious about Autism is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at a non-maintained special school in Muswell Hill, London. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with autism and learning disabilities.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to students, developing and implementing individualized intervention programs, and working closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

About the Role

This role requires a qualified Occupational Therapist with a BSc in Occupational Therapy and experience in designing and implementing impactful intervention programs. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously, promote the progression of the OT service, and reflect critically on their own performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to students, including devising and implementing individual and group intervention programs
  • Work effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Design and implement impactful intervention programs that meet the needs of students
  • Reflect critically on own performance and accept feedback from supervision
Requirements
  • BSc in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience in designing and implementing impactful intervention programs
  • Ability to work autonomously and promote the progression of the OT service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
