About the Role
ISP School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to develop and implement individual learning plans.
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that pupils receive a high-quality education.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs, ensuring that they are engaging, relevant, and tailored to the needs of our pupils.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
Requirements
- Strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Experience of working with pupils with SEMH, including behavior management and techniques.
- Ability to lead on a specialism, such as Reading, Mathematics, or Forest School.
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn.
- Enhanced DBS check and ability to work in a team.
