Meridian Business Support is seeking a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to join one of their esteemed clients in the North-East of England. This is a salaried, permanent opportunity to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation of Mechanical and Public Health Pipework: Install mechanical and public health pipework materials, including steel, copper, plastic, and other materials, to suit project design documentation.
- Pressure Testing and Installation of Mechanical Plant Items: Pressure test all pipework systems and install mechanical plant items, including heating, chilled water, domestic hot and cold water, natural gas, and above ground drainage pipework and valves.
- Sanitaryware Installation and General Coordination: Install sanitaryware appliances, including WCs, WHBs, sinks, showers/trays, and electric heaters, and coordinate with other trades and sub-contractors.
- Project Management and Risk Assessment: Work with the project manager and project team to meet programme and key deadlines, and carry out point of work Risk Assessments and Method Statements for work undertaken or managed on site.
- NVQ Level 2 Qualification: Hold a NVQ Level 2 qualification in a mechanical related discipline.
- Blue JIB-PMES CSCS Card: Possess a Blue JIB-PMES CSCS card.
- Technical Competencies: Demonstrate a high standard of installation and understanding of the industry safety environment, pressures, and familiarity with asbestos awareness and procedures.
- Personal Competencies: Possess good communication skills, be reliable and punctual, able to work on own initiative and independently, and flexible and calm under pressure.
