Role Overview:
Randstad Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in primary or secondary schools across Uckfield. This role involves working closely with individual students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
  • Assist with classroom activities and promote positive interaction between the pupil and their peers.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with Autism or other special educational needs is essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs are advantageous.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
