Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our regional build team on a permanent basis.

About the Role
  • Assist Quantity Surveyors in monitoring procurement and construction budgets, as well as design delivery programmes.
  • Review and analyse construction costs and site progress, reporting any cost implications on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with producing monthly valuations and providing accurate support for costing and budget preparation.
  • Assist with variations and instructions, and budget control throughout development.
  • Take off quantities from drawings for procurement and pricing variations, and assist with costing and invoicing for client variations.
  • Prepare monthly progress valuations and assist with main contract and subcontract preparation reviews.
  • Attend design team meetings and identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Execute payments to subcontractors in line with contractual requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working for an established property developer, main contractor, or subcontractor in the capacity of Assistant Quantity Surveyor or similar.
  • HNC or Degree qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Knowledge of tendering and procurement, contract administration, and different forms of contract.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, and payment software systems.
