The Wayman Group seeks an exceptional Educator of Science and Inquiry to join our team. As a passionate advocate for student-centered learning, you will design and deliver engaging Science lessons that foster a love for discovery and exploration.

About the Role

As an Educator of Science and Inquiry, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to think critically and solve problems effectively. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement the Science curriculum, ensuring that it is relevant, challenging, and aligned with national standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering Science lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assessing student progress and providing targeted feedback and support
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve the Science curriculum and teaching practices
  • Maintaining accurate records of student achievement and behavior
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Science or a related field
  • Experience teaching Science at the primary or secondary level
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Science curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Organizational and time management skills
