About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team, responsible for managing credit control and front-line ledger risk. As a key member of our invoice finance team, you will support the delivery of invoice finance services by conducting credit control and ledger verification, identifying risks to the company's security, and handling payment and cash processing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and debtors, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Credit Control: Conduct credit control via telephone and email, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and credit notes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records, including financial reports and payment processing documentation.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze invoices and credit notes, identifying potential risks and opportunities for growth.
- Payment Processing: Issue payments in line with the mandate, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Team Support: Assist the invoice team in meeting its key objectives, providing support and guidance as needed.
- New Business Opportunities: Identify potential new business opportunities through collection activities, driving growth and revenue.
- Bank Statement Processing: Handle daily processing of bank statements, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation.
Requirements:
- Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrate good team working skills and an aptitude in managing debtor relationships.
- Credit Control Experience: Possess experience in credit control, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures.
- IT Literacy: Be IT literate and competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Telephone Manner: Possess excellent telephone manner, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and debtors.
- Relationship Building: Be credible when engaging with business owners and able to develop relationships.
- Organisation and Time Management: Be organised with the ability to manage time particularly when working under time pressures.
- Education: Hold GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English, or equivalent.
What We Offer:
In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of £26,000 - £30,000 plus excellent benefits, including a generous holiday allowance, paid community volunteering, company-wide profit-sharing bonus, pension plan, life assurance, and personal accident cover.
