Workplace Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Engineer to join our End User Experience (EUE) department at Deerfoot Recruitment Solutions Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) build image for desktop and server platforms, utilizing tools such as SCCM. Key responsibilities include owning and maintaining the SOEs using SCCM, identifying and analyzing patches and their impact, and assessing the impact of technical changes on the SOE at an operational level.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is between £45,000 and £50,000 per annum, with an estimated 10% bonus annually and a one-off bonus of £1,000 upon obtaining DV Clearance. The role also offers a hybrid work arrangement with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote working and a competitive benefits package.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in desktop/server deployment or SCCM, proficiency in MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) 2012/2013, and knowledge of standard O/S builds for Desktop or Server including Windows 7/8/10/11. Additionally, you should have scripting skills, analytical and methodical problem-solving approach, and MCSE/MCP Certification in Windows. Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and software deployment tools is beneficial, as is understanding of Remedy/EARS/ServiceNOW or similar.
