We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational Leader to fill a Long-Term Substitute position for an Elementary Teacher. As a substitute, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment for students, promoting their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners. As an Educational Leader, you will work closely with the school administration, staff, and families to provide high-quality education and support to students. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver instruction in various subjects, utilizing your knowledge and expertise to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver instruction in Elementary Education, adhering to the curriculum and teaching standards set by the Connecticut Department of Education
* Create and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methods and materials
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student engagement and motivation
* Collaborate with colleagues and school administrators to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing concerns
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess or be eligible for Connecticut Elementary Education certification. You should also demonstrate strong knowledge of and ability to deliver content, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should be able to relate successfully with staff, families, and students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and skill levels. Estimated Salary: $80,000-$110,000 per year.
