Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Research Scientist in the field of food science. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and demonstrated experience in planning and implementing field or laboratory research.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in food science, enology, fermentation science and technology, viticulture, or related fields
- Develop and implement research plans and protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve research goals
- Communicate research findings to stakeholders through publications and presentations
Requirements
- Ph.D. in food science, enology, fermentation science and technology, viticulture, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in research planning and implementation
- Record of peer-reviewed publications
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with wine grape and wine production
- Experience with analytic quantification of flavor/aroma metabolites
- Postdoctoral training or experience in a relevant field
- Successful grantsmanship
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
