In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be working within our Acute Ambulatory Care Unit (AACU), where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. As an Oncology Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, including administering treatments, managing patient symptoms, and providing emotional support during difficult times.

With a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication. Your expertise in oncology and acute care will be essential in helping us to achieve our goal of providing world-class care to our patients.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, focusing on symptom management, pain control, and overall well-being
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by medical staff
- Monitor patient vital signs, report any changes or concerns to medical staff, and implement interventions as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, manage transitions, and optimize patient outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to address their needs and concerns
- Participate in educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills in oncology and acute care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, suggesting evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and satisfaction

Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration
- Experience in oncology and/or acute care settings
- Strong understanding of cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care principles
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in oncology and acute care

What We Offer
- Competitive salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
