We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEN in Key Stage 2 at an outstanding Primary School in Sunderland.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on a pupil's life, promoting their learning and development in a supportive environment.

The successful applicant will work closely with the pupil, identifying their needs and developing strategies to promote progress and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Individualized Approaches: Develop tailored strategies to support the pupil's needs and promote progress.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement positive and proactive methods to manage challenging behaviour and create a safe environment.
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with class teachers, parents, and stakeholders for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Resource Development: Create resources to support learning activities and lessons.
  • Supervision: Supervise pupils during break times and lunchtimes as required.
Requirements

Certifications: Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) and a recognized Childcare-based qualification are mandatory.

Skill Set: Proactive and resilient nature, experience of supporting pupils in a school setting, and high levels of enthusiasm and energy when working with pupils.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000-£30,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
