About the Role:

At Lincolnshire Co-op, our funeral service teams strive to provide a personal and professional service to the bereaved. As a Funeral Operative, you will work as part of a team to ensure we deliver the highest standards of care and support to our customers during their most difficult times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bearing coffins and driving funeral vehicles to facilitate family celebrations
  • Supporting colleagues in bringing the deceased into our care and preparing them for visitations and funerals
  • Preparing and cleaning funeral vehicles and facilities to ensure they are ready for service
  • Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide 24/7 support to our clients

About You:

We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help people in need. You will need to have a full driving license and be able to lift and transfer weights safely. A flexible approach to work is essential due to the on-call rota.

Requirements:

  • Naturally caring and professional approach to customer service
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
  • Ability to work productively and efficiently as part of a team
  • Confident communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and transfer weights safely
  • Flexible approach to work
