As a CBRE Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, which provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Electrical Systems Operations: Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Component Repair and Replacement: Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that equipment is being maintained and operated in a safe manner, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Proactive Maintenance: Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Customer Service: Provide efficient and reliable service to customers, meeting their needs and expectations.
- Problem-Solving: Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Disciplinary Knowledge: Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Quality and Productivity: Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team, working primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is preferred. Master Electrician license is required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license is required.
- Physical Demands: Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems, and ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Mathematical Skills: Advanced math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
