About the Role

Xero is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Compliance Lead to join our UK Payroll product team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our UK Payroll product is compliant with relevant rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with product teams to create world-class payroll software that meets the needs of small businesses in the UK.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on UK payroll rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to champion payroll compliance and eliminate the stress of payroll compliance for small business owners.
  • Guide Customer Experience teams on complex payroll cases and immerse yourself in our product development process.
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of subject matter expertise in UK payroll rules, regulations, and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of UK income tax, national insurance legislation, and workplace pension rules.
  • Proven experience personally processing payroll for a UK small business.
  • Experience using multiple UK payroll software products and managing a payroll team.
  • CIPP qualification or similar is desired.
