Job Description:

Dedicated and experienced HGV Class 2 drivers are required to join our busy logistics team at Macfarlane Group. This part-time opportunity involves working as part of a job share on a Thursday and Friday, covering 18 hours per week. As a Class 2 HGV driver, you will be responsible for multiple customer deliveries in the local region, navigating through average daily drops of 1-15, and ensuring a safe and professional operation of Company HGV vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver customer orders in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  2. Operate Company HGV vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all relevant legislation and Company policies.
  3. Load and secure vehicles daily, utilizing forklifts, reach/counterbalance equipment as necessary.
  4. Provide a professional HGV driving service, exceeding customer expectations and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  5. Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
  6. Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery issues or exceptions.
