About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Assessor to join our team at SJB Medical. As a Clinical Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals, taking into account their medical history and physical examination.
  • Produce concise and accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to inform benefit eligibility decisions.
  • Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and best practice standards.
  • Work independently, yet as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with access to support and resources as needed.
Requirements
  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic with a minimum 12 months of recent broad-based post-registration experience.
  • Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision-making is an advantage.
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) present on CV.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Completion of ECDL or equivalent is an advantage.
