Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team in Caerphilly. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with physical and learning disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced service supporting four individuals with daily activities, enhancing their skills, and promoting independence. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for providing emotional support, personal care, and mobility assistance, including the use of hoisting and wheelchairs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals with their individual needs, including personal care, dietary requirements, and mobility support.
  • Providing emotional support and creating a positive environment.
  • Completing various cleaning and administrative tasks.
  • Contributing fresh ideas to the team and implementing new approaches.
  • Administering medication and managing stock checks.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a passion for working with people with physical or mental health needs. While experience is desirable, full training and support from senior staff and management are provided. Essential qualities include:

  • A strong desire to empower individuals to live independently.
  • An enthusiasm for making a positive impact on people's lives.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
