Residential Care Manager

Job OverviewThis role offers a rewarding opportunity to work as a Registered Manager in Devon, overseeing the daily operations of a solo Ofsted-rated GOOD home. We seek an experienced and compassionate individual to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care for young people.
SalaryThe salary for this position is £35,000 - £43,000 per annum, dependent on experience and location.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive care plans that cater to each young person's unique needs and goals.
- Build and manage a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing staff members.
- Foster open communication with young people, parents, and external partners to ensure collaborative care planning.
- Maintain high-quality care standards, adhering to National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
- Address complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- At least 2 years of experience in residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
- Knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff members.
