About The Opportunity
To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we currently have an opportunity for a Principal Engineering Hydrogeologist within our Tunnels and Ground Engineering team in the UK. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing specialist engineering hydrogeological support to excavation dewatering projects, tunnelling projects and assessments for large scale infrastructure projects;
- Providing specialist hydrogeological support to the scoping, supervising and interpretation of ground investigations to support engineering design;
- Report writing, specifically for the interpretation of groundwater to support underground structures design, groundwater management and hydro-geomechanical behaviour assessment;
- Promoting consideration of engineering hydrogeology to foster innovative project solutions;
- Liaison with contractors, laboratories and regulators.
In addition to these key responsibilities, proven ability working in wider hydrogeological projects would be beneficial, including karst assessment identification, impact assessment on environmental aspects and contaminated groundwater assessments.
